Position Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for providing optimal ultrasound imaging exams and procedures in an efficient, compassionate, and safe manner to assist in accurate physician diagnosis. The role involves working with patients across the lifespan including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. The technologist utilizes independent judgment, critical thinking, and clinical knowledge to deliver high-quality diagnostic care while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform ultrasound procedures accurately and efficiently.

Apply critical thinking and recognize emergent or abnormal findings, taking appropriate actions.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records.

Utilize imaging and hospital computer systems appropriately.

Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, families, and team members.

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

Access and handle medications as appropriate to the scope of job duties.

Participate in professional development and skill maintenance per job requirements.

Maintain clean and stocked procedure rooms and equipment.
Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Sonography program.
-
1-5 years of prior experience preferred.
-
RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) - Required within 2 years of graduation.

BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required.
