Our client is a well-established automotive manufacturer known for delivering high-quality products to leading automotive brands. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations at their Temple, Georgia facility.
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for directing and optimizing all production activities within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while meeting customer quality standards and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives.
• Develop and manage production schedules to support customer demand and on-time shipment performance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop production teams while promoting a positive and accountable work culture.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to optimize production efficiency.
• Monitor key manufacturing metrics such as OEE, scrap, yield, downtime, and cycle times.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage labor utilization, operating costs, and production budgets to support profitability goals.
• Support new product launches, equipment implementation, process improvements, and validation activities.
• Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in an automotive production environment.
• Strong understanding of automotive quality systems, manufacturing processes, and process improvement methodologies.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and corrective action initiatives.
• Proven leadership, team-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
