Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Experience making a difference as a Speech-Language Pathologist for an extended school year (ESY) program! This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students at an Intermediate school near Wilkes Barre, PA, working just one site. With a consistent schedule—Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30am to 12pm, from June 29th to July 30th—you’ll provide critical speech and language services to students in a collaborative school environment.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology license
- Department of Education (DOE) certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous school-based SLP experience or familiarity with ESY programs preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators and families for student success
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to eligible students during ESY programming
- Conduct routine screenings, assessments, and maintain accurate progress documentation
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans according to IEPs
- Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress
- Foster a supportive, engaging learning environment tailored to each child’s needs
- Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate as part of the multi-disciplinary team
