Position Overview:
As a Medical Assistant/EKG Technician, you will be the main staff performing EKGs on all ages (0 months to adult) of patients. Your primary duties will include EKGs, vitals, scanning items into our EMR system (MEDENT), coumadin checks, holters, event monitors, stress testing, prepping patients for their visit, and cleaning of the rooms. This is a full-time, in-office position where you will play an integral role in the daily operations of the clinic. Qualified candidate MUST be able to work with children and adults.

There is a possibility to be crossed trained for the Medical Assistant/EKG Technician for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform EKGs on all ages (0 months to adult)

· Vitals on all ages (0 months to adult)

Additional Responsibilities:

· Holter

· Event Monitors

· Coumadin checks

· Stress Testing

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Training (or certifications) REQUIRED

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

· Comfortable using computer programs and software systems

· Previous experience in healthcare REQUIRED

· Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (MEDENT a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology a plus

· Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Arabic, etc.) are a plus
