  • Support daily operations through the installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of automation and process control systems, particularly across well pads and production facilities.

  • Perform commissioning work on new (greenfield) and existing (brownfield) oil and gas facilities, ensuring systems are configured, tested, and operating according to design specifications.

  • Develop control strategies and provide input to P&IDs, control system specifications, termination diagrams, and commissioning plans.

  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and IT teams to support automation initiatives and system reliability.

  • Understand and follow Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure proper PLC program updates and system modifications.

  • Conduct work in accordance with internal procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety by working in a safe manner and reporting all health and safety incidents or concerns.

  • Pursue continuous professional development to maintain a high level of automation and controls expertise.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience executing Allen-Bradley PLC-based control system projects, particularly in field environments.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and Wonderware HMI systems.

  • Experience commissioning and supporting automation systems at oil and gas well pads and processing facilities.

  • Ability to interface directly with clients and internal leadership to communicate project status, risks, and resolutions.

  • Strong attention to detail when working with complex PLC programs and advanced process control systems.

  • Experience supporting oil & gas processing facilities.

  • Proficiency in instrumentation troubleshooting, calibration, and integration.

  • Mastery of control system design, implementation, and project execution.

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms is required; experience with Scadapak and Modicon PLC systems is a strong plus.
