Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU
Location: Bronx, NY 10451, United States
Assignment Length: 5 Weeks

Compensation:

  • Local Pay: $2,250 – $2,475 per week

  • Travel Pay: $2,900 – $3,150 per week

Shift & Schedule:

  • Shift: Day Shift

  • Hours: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM

  • Schedule: 3 × 11.5-hour shifts per week

  • Total Hours: 34.5 hours per week

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU for a short-term assignment in Bronx, NY. The RN will provide critical care to patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, monitoring complex medical conditions and delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves close collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.

  • Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and response to treatments.

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments.

  • Perform IV insertion and assist with phlebotomy procedures.

  • Assist with and monitor patients during conscious sedation procedures.

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop patient care plans.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and medical records.

  • Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate critical care interventions.

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience.

  • At least 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience.

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

  • Active New York State RN License.

  • BLS (American Heart Association).

  • ACLS (American Heart Association).

  • Strong English communication skills (Speak, Read, Write).
