We are immediately hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician in our Aliquippa manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently executing troubleshooting and repair of equipment, facilities, and grounds,
This is a full-time position, and the working hours will be 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. for training then moves to monthly rotating shifts (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.).
General duties
- Maintain equipment in the plant and support department equipment in Shipping, Quality, Maintenance, and front office. This will include forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Diagnose recurring equipment problems and work with the maintenance team to implement corrective actions.
- Execute scheduled work orders, including PMs and provide proper documentation into the computerized maintenance system.
- Maintain surrounding grounds and equipment.
- Work on new equipment installations, modifications and fabrications
- Fully understand production positions (including Control Room) within the plant and be able to substitute in if necessary
- Work as a team on process improvement issues - having a focus on safety and productivity.
- Ensure that safety procedures are always followed and maintain a good safety record
- Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time, occasionally kneeling and bending.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and multiple shifts as needed.
- Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and in various temperatures.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with supervisors, maintenance and other employees.
- Must be able to work as a team on process improvement issues focusing on safety, quality and productivity.
- Forklift and hand truck experience preferred.
Education
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
