We are looking for a dynamic Registered Dietitian to Join our team! This is a part time position as required by the facility.
The following are responsibilities of dietitians in ADULT DAY care facilities however not limited to just those listed; duties can be expanded based on the client’s needs and direction of ReImagine facility.

Assess participant nutritional needs, diet restrictions, current nutritional status and care plans to develop and implement adequate dietary care plans as needed.

Prepares clinical/progress notes incorporated in the clinical record.

Consult with nursing and/or medical staff to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of participant as needed.

Evaluate the special needs of participants regarding nutrition support, skin breakdown, and significant weight issues.

Work closely with the medical staff and/or Speech-Language Pathologist to ensure appropriate mechanically altered diets are provided for participants with dysphagia.

Approve facility menu and monitor meal service, as indicated, to ensure diet modifications follow the facility’s policies/procedures & State/Federal guidelines.

Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards as needed.

Review all menu changes to ensure they follow the facility’s policies/procedures & State/Federal guidelines.

Communicates effectively with all those providing care.

Provides in-service education per facility guidelines.

Participate in multi-disciplinary and treatment team meetings as appropriate.

Review and approve facility diet manual annually in conjunction with medical staff.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.

Current registered dietician or registration as required by state or eligible for endorsement by the state in which the facility provides services.

Must Practice within the scope of practice of a registered dietitian within the state of California

Must abide by the code of ethics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Current Basic Life Support Certification where required by the state or facility.

Ability to serve participants across the lifespan (pediatrics, adults & seniors).

Must be willing to travel to multiple Reimagine campuses within north, central and south Orange County.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

Ability to work in-person and remotely as appropriate

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Ability to serve participants across the lifespan (pediatrics, adults & seniors).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Ability to work within the program area which includes reaching for charts, supplies and retrieving and replacing items on shelves.
