Established in 2010, Coach Across America (CAA) is the nationwide leader in engaging, training and supporting sports coaches to transform youth, programs and communities. Our AmeriCorps coaching program is the first national service program that challenges young adults to give back to their communities through a year of service as coach-mentors. CAA's research, training and on-the-ground initiatives empower sports programs across the country to become a united force for meaningful change. To date, CAA has reached over 100,000 youth by placing over 4,000 coaches in underserved urban communities. The CAA Development VISTA will play an integral role in prospect research, grant submissions, fundraising campaigns, donor relations, and data system management. This will ensure that CAA has the necessary funds to continue providing life-changing coach-mentors to underserved youth in the communities we serve. The Development Team is a multidisciplinary group, and the Development VISTA will be able to learn virtually all aspects of nonprofit work. If youre interested in a career in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, this is an opportunity like no other. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree, a passion for the mission of CAA, and previous volunteer experience. Fundraising, marketing, or sales experience is preferred but not required. The candidate will be an organized self-starter, work well under pressure, be a strong writer, and have a curiosity for learning about development, marketing, and events. The position is a one-year term (with potential to renew for a second year) and starts in August of 2026. Member Duties :The VISTA will be part of the 26-27 Coach Across America national VISTA cohort of 64 members. The VISTA will: expand and diversify the network of potential funders and partners for outreach opportunities; research and vet potential funders and make recommendations on outreach strategies; support the National Grants Manager in optimizing the outreach, production, completion, and submission process for grants; assist with fundraising campaign support, including the CAA annual fund #ThanksCoach; help manage donor relations and send donor acknowledgment letters and tax receipts; leverage Salesforce to enhance documentation, record-keeping, and data management for all leads, funding opportunities, and research projects.Program Benefits :Health Coverage* , Living Allowance , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend , Relocation Allowance , Childcare assistance if eligible , Training .*For details about AmeriCorps VISTA healthcare benefits, please visithttps://americorpsvista.imglobal.com/.Terms :
