Student Ambassadors are essential members of the Office of Student Experience at Stephens College. They serve as the first point of contact for incoming students and their families, playing a critical role in welcoming and engaging prospective and new students. With enthusiasm, leadership, and a passion for student life, Student Ambassadors help build lasting connections, foster a sense of belonging, and promote the Stephens experience year-round.
This is a 9-month position with potential summer hours, offering valuable professional development, early move-in, and a leadership role in key college events including Orientation, campus tours, and special weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Campus Tours
Serve as a campus tour guide for prospective students, guests, and families. Must be available daily at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., including potential weekend tours. - Orientation & Welcome Weekend
Act as an Orientation Group Leader, assisting with preparation and facilitating activities during Welcome Weekend. - Student Engagement & Communication
Serve as a peer contact for incoming students, offering guidance and support before and after arrival. - Office Support & Outreach
Maintain regular summer office hours to support the Office of Student Experience through:- Social media content creation and scheduling
- Writing thank-you notes and follow-up emails
- Producing FAQ videos and short content for student outreach
- Assisting with Orientation logistics and supply organization
- Engaging in outreach to admitted students
- Supporting general office duties and tasks
- Event Participation
Participate in college-wide events such as Visit Days, Family & Friends Weekend, Alumnae Weekend, and Admissions sessions. - Professional Development
Engage in training opportunities focused on leadership, communication, and student support.

Eligibility & Application Process
- Must be a full-time Stephens College student
- Must complete an application and participate in an interview
- Must be available for training sessions and Orientation preparation
- Must be available for scheduled daily office hours and tours (M–F)
