Deliver critical care as an experienced Registered Nurse in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department serving patients from infants to geriatrics. This contract opportunity involves working 3x12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM, on weekdays with every other weekend required. The facility supports a high-acuity patient population including neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, renal emergencies, and trauma cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent nursing care in a 24-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio.
- Manage diverse cases, including high psychiatric acuity without a separate psych unit.
- Float within scope as needed to meet facility demands.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver timely interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year in Emergency Nursing.
- Valid WV or Compact RN license required; pending RN licenses accepted but must be active by start.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI (CPI training available pre-start if needed).
- Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
- First-time travelers welcomed with appropriate experience.
- Candidates must reside over 100 miles from the facility; exceptions considered between 75-100 miles.
