Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher focusing on early childhood education for Pre-K students within a supportive school environment in Kansas City, KS. The role involves managing a caseload of 8-18 young learners requiring specialized educational services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to Pre-K students with special education requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to student performance and program compliance.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with early childhood learners, specifically Pre-K age group.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively, ranging from 8 to 18 students.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for supporting the academic and social growth of children with special needs.
Location: Kansas City, Kansas, with a focus on the Early Childhood Center.
This is a contractual role running through May 22, 2026, requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
