Summary of Responsibilities
The Remodeling Sales Consultant is responsible for guiding clients through the entire design-to-contract process, from initial consultation to securing Design and Construction Agreements. This role involves educating clients on LBKs process, setting expectations, and collecting key project details while building strong, lasting relationships. The consultant collaborates closely with design, estimating, and production teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and alignment. Additionally, they represent LBK at networking events and support marketing efforts, maintaining accurate records and upholding the companys values throughout every project.
Essential Functions
Sales & Client Acquisition
- Generate and qualify leads through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and events.
- Conduct phone consultations, in-home visits, and design center meetings to secure Design Agreements.
- Maintain a minimum closing ratio of 35% with annual sales goals of $3M$4M.
Client Onboarding & Education
- Educate clients on LBKs process, unique value proposition, and budget ranges.
- Collect and document project details (photos, scans, scope, budget, timelines).
- Guide clients through the Design-to-Contract process while building rapport.
Project Handoff & Collaboration
- Lead sales debrief meetings and ensure accurate transfer of project information to design, estimating, and production teams.
- Schedule and facilitate site surveys, design budget reviews, and SPEAD meetings.
- Review proposed designs before client presentations and support the team in delivering scope and budget alignment.
Relationship Management & Client Care
- Stay connected with clients during design and construction phases through ongoing communication and site visits.
- Conduct final walk-throughs, celebration meetings, and warranty check-ins (3-, 6-, and 12-months).
- Encourage client reviews, referrals, and repeat business.
Business Development & Marketing Support
- Represent LBK at trade shows, community events, and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to evaluate campaign effectiveness, contribute ideas, and support brand awareness initiatives.
- Participate in photography, video shoots, and promotional activities.
Administrative & Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
- Attend company trainings, sales/marketing meetings, and continuous education sessions.
- Uphold LBKs mission, values, and professional appearance standards.
- Ensure warranty claims are documented and coordinated with production management.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- Demonstrated experience in sales, construction, or design, and contract management
- Strong client relationship and project management skills
- Completion of sales training (Sandler preferred)
- Proficiency with CRM, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Calendly, Monday.com, Asana, Trello, etc.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and goal-driven
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent professional communication skills
Compensation
- Base salary: $70,000$75,000 plus gross commission (total compensation range in the first year from $120,000 to $145,000).
