Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room to support patient care within a dynamic hospital environment. This role is designed for professionals with a strong background in emergency nursing and proficiency in Cerner charting, seeking a 13-week contract assignment. The position operates on a night shift schedule, providing critical care during peak overnight hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Missouri RN license or Compact license eligible for Missouri
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience
- Demonstrated expertise with Cerner electronic health record system (no exceptions)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications including American Heart Association ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC
- Ability to pass an EKG exam with at least 80% accuracy on lethal rhythms during orientation
- Must maintain required continuing education units (CEUs), including EKG and other specialty requirements
Shift and Schedule:
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week (18:45 to 07:15)
- Every other weekend required
- No block scheduling available
- Orientation beginning ASAP on a Tuesday
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced setting
- Utilize Cerner EHR for accurate documentation and patient charting
- Monitor and respond to critical patient situations using advanced cardiac life support techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
