Certified Coder – Outpatient/Neurosurgery (EPIC Preferred)
Location: The Woodlands, Texas
Contract: 9/29/25 – 12/27/25
- Responsible for accurate ICD-10-CM/CPT4 coding for outpatient encounters, primarily in neurology and neurosurgery, ensuring compliance with AHIMA standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Requires 2+ years of outpatient E/M coding experience (Neurosurgery preferred) and familiarity with HCC coding.
Must hold one of the following: CCS, CPC, RHIT, CMC, or CCA.
- Strong EPIC experience preferred. Key responsibilities include reviewing clinical documentation, assigning codes and modifiers, querying providers as needed, and supporting departmental goals through mentorship and professional development. Effective communication, compliance, and patient-centered care are essential.
Skills/Qualifications: ICD-10-CM, CPT4, APC reimbursement knowledge, outpatient coding, EPIC, provider query management, regulatory compliance, mentorship, documentation abstraction.
