We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Structural Superintendent with a focus on Healthcare Construction to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects in the healthcare sector, including hospitals, medical facilities and parking garages. As a Structural Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project life cycles, from initial planning and design, through construction, to final handover. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, you will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of healthcare construction projects from inception to completion.
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are performed to the highest standards.
- Review work progress on a daily basis, addressing any issues or delays promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists, ensuring that all structures are erected correctly and safely.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
- Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in healthcare construction, with a focus on structural and ground-up construction.
- Proven experience in hospital construction and parking garage projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Excellent knowledge of construction details, building systems, and quality control.
- Proficient in interpreting and executing architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and obstacles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in construction software is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.
