- Requires patient assessment and intervention, medication administration, ability to follow through with orders and observe patients, documentation in EHR, implement and monitoring of the plan of care, ADLs, etc.
- Job Requirements
- Must have current nursing license verified within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years thereafter with minimum 80% score.
- Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years thereafter with minimum 80% score.
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics within a year of start and updated yearly with minimum 80% score.
- Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%.
- Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually for specialty.
- Documentation of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG Titer; no declinations accepted.
- Fit Test required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually.
- Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (October 1 through March 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
- Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually thereafter.
- Documentation of two Varicella vaccines, serological evidence of immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted.
- Valid Tdap within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
- Completion of criminal background check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, and National Sex Offender check within 30 days of first assignment.
- Completion of education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
- Third-party employment verification for past seven years, updated annually.
- Schedule Information
- Contract length is 13 weeks.
- Additional Details
- Ascension Exit Survey to be completed within 72 hours of assignment completion.
- Ascension Resume optional.
- Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding, to be uploaded by unit leader within a week.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation required.
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite.
- Ascension Badge Photo required with specific background and no alterations.
- Driver's License/State ID must be current and match address on file.
- Ascension Profile and two professional references required prior to first assignment.
- Ascension EPLS run within 90 days of start and rerun if break in service >90 days.
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment required upon initial assignment and updates.
- Ascension Influenza Vaccine Exemption/Declination accepted with mask requirement.
- Hiring Manager Evaluation post-assignment optional.
- Ascension Name Change Document optional.
