Position: Operations & Business Manager
Employment Type: Full Time, Direct Hire
Annual Salary: $80,000- $90,000
Location: Richmond, CA
A rapidly growing construction solutions business is seeking an Operations & Business Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive continued growth. This role partners closely with the owner (General Manager) and serves as the primary operational point of contact for customers, partners, and vendors. It’s a high-impact, growth-oriented position requiring strong judgment, strong ownership mindset, and the ability to operate independently with an execution-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations and serve as the main point of contact for customers, partners, and vendors
- Support business development: opportunity qualification, proposals, bids, customer meetings, and networking
- Scope, plan, and manage projects from award through installation, close-out, and decommissioning
- Design and deploy temporary containment solutions using internal systems
- Oversee materials, inventory, logistics, warehouse operations, and equipment coordination
- Lead installations; train and manage field teams and labor
- Maintain clear project communication, documentation, and reporting
- Represent the company professionally in customer and industry settings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 3–7 years in operations, construction-adjacent management, or field operations
- Experience in commercial construction/facilities/renovation environments preferred
- Strong ownership mindset, organization, judgment, and execution skills
- Ability to interpret plans/drawings (or strong ability to learn)
- Excellent communication and multi-project management skills
- Tech-savvy and operationally strong
- Valid driver’s license; able to travel across the SF Bay Area
- Willing and able to drive a 26’ box truck and operate equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.)
