Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Position: MedSurg Tele/Neuro/Stroke RN
Location: Chesapeake, VA (Coastal Virginia – minutes from Virginia Beach & Norfolk)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x12s Nights (19:00–07:30) – OT after 48 hrs
Guaranteed Hours: 48
Start Date: 09/15/2025
COVID Vaccine: required
Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

• Unit: 6W MedSurg Tele/Neuro/Stroke
• Beds: 30 | Daily Census: 28
• Interdisciplinary support: IV team, PT, RT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, Phlebotomy

Requirements

• Licensure: VA or Compact RN license in hand
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years recent acute care RN experience
  • Travel experience REQUIRED
  • Must have neurology/stroke experience
• Certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Charting: Epic proficiency (no exceptions)
• Skills Required: IV start, telemetry interpretation, neuro/stroke care, dysrhythmia management, central/PICC line management, trach care, wound vacs, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, post-neuro surgery, renal failure management, rapid response participation, etc.
