Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Davie, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting day-to-day operations of the accounting department. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
• Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
• Oversee accounts receivable processes, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Process and enter supplier invoices into the system, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Maintain bookkeeping functions to support the organization’s financial operations.
• Collaborate with team members to address accounting issues and improve processes.
• Monitor overhead expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Generate financial reports to assist in management decision-making.• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and bookkeeping.
• Ability to process and verify invoices with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with supplier invoice management and payment procedures.
