Oncology Telehealth Nurse Compensation

• The pay for this position is $29–$39 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Oncology Telehealth Nurse Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to convert to a permanent role based on attendance, performance, and business needs
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm CST
• Work Type: Remote work-from-home with planned onsite training and meetings in The Woodlands, TX
• Candidate must live within the Greater Houston area and be able to drive to onsite meetings when required
• Company-provided equipment
• Ongoing virtual and in-person training and support
• Possible conversion to full-time with employer-paid CEUs and certifications

Oncology Telehealth Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic triage services, assessing oncology patient needs and directing appropriate care
• Document patient interactions and clinical findings accurately in the electronic health record
• Identify high-risk oncology conditions and route patients to proper resources when necessary
• Deliver professional nursing care following national and organizational standards
• Provide patient education with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Participate in quality initiatives across the organization
• Attend required onsite meetings and training sessions in The Woodlands, TX

Oncology Telehealth Nurse Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or another compact state
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or willingness to obtain within 1 year
• Minimum 3 years of clinical RN experience, including 2 recent years in oncology (Hem-Onc clinic or hospital setting)
• Experience performing patient assessments telephonically preferred
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with electronic health records and telecommunication systems
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
• Must have reliable internet and a HIPAA-compliant private workspace
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
