Job Summary and Qualifications
The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images of the used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role:
- You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
- You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
- You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
- You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
- You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
- You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
What qualifications you will need:
- Must be a graduate of a program with a certificate or degree in Radiologic Technology
- American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registry with six months of hire if not already certified.
- Certification in Computerized Tomography (ARRT-CT) required within 1 year of registry eligibility.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year hospital department experience in Diagnostic Radiology preferred.
