About the Role:

The Move In Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth and compassionate transition for new residents entering our healthcare and social assistance facility. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the move-in process, including scheduling, communication with families and healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The coordinator acts as a liaison between residents, their families, and internal departments to facilitate a welcoming and efficient admission experience. By managing detailed documentation and addressing any concerns promptly, the Move In Coordinator helps to create a positive first impression and supports the overall quality of care. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to resident satisfaction and operational excellence within the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare administration, social assistance, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft excel and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or long-term care facility
  • Experience with customer service or customer relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule move-in appointments, ensuring all necessary preparations are completed prior to resident arrival.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and internal teams to gather required information and provide updates.
  • Prepare and review all admission paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
  • Assist residents and families during the move-in process, addressing questions and concerns to facilitate a comfortable transition.
  • Maintain detailed records of move-in activities and follow up on any outstanding tasks or documentation.
  • Collaborate with clinical and support staff to ensure resident needs are identified and met promptly upon admission.
  • Monitor and improve move-in procedures to enhance efficiency and resident experience.
