Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week assignment, 12-hour day shifts (6:30 am – 7:00 pm)
- Bi-weekly orientation; guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 hours)
- Rotating weekends: three weekends per six-week schedule
- Floating within skill set, with cross-campus float possible
Qualifications:
- Active compact RN license
- AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications (must be submitted with application)
- Minimum two years of recent tele/med-surg nursing (trauma level II)
- At least one previous travel assignment
- Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff required)
- Strong neuro assessment, dysphagia screening, telemetry (12-lead EKG interpretation), drip titration skills
- Charge nurse experience and NG/PEG tube, PIV insertion preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care to a medically diverse patient population
- Manage heart cath recovery, drip titration, chest tubes, and complex procedures
- Proactively collaborate with unit leadership and participate in precepting students/new hires as needed
- Demonstrate adaptability, resilience, and exemplary assessment skills in a fast-paced setting
