What You'll Do
As a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting operational excellence. Core responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead key aspects of the month-end close (accruals, reconciliations, journal entries).
- Reconcile general and sub ledgers across multiple entities.
- Maintain and oversee general ledger coding across divisions.
- Analyze financial results and variances; provide insights to leadership.
- Compile monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) schedules and ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Manage company credit card system and ERP administration.
- Support project accountants and collaborate across divisions.
- Ensure compliance with tax filings and union contributions.
What You Need
- 3+ years of corporate accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- GAAP.
- ERP system experience (Viewpoint, Sage, etc.) a plus.
- Construction or real estate industry background a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
