Position Summary
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for machining custom, tight-tolerance parts in a job shop environment. Ideal candidates will have experience producing one-off and short-run components rather than high-volume production parts.
This role requires strong setup capability, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to machine complex components independently.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform full setups and operation of CNC mills, lathes, or grinders
- Machine custom, precision components to tight tolerances
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Edit programs at the machine as needed
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and precision gauges
- Maintain quality standards in a high-spec environment
- Support continuous improvement and shop efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop or custom machining environment
- Strong setup experience (mills or lathes depending on role)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with Mazatrol programming is highly preferred
- Aerospace machining experience is a plus
- Experience with 4-axis horizontal mills (Okuma MB-5000 preferred) is highly desirable
