Our projects require expertise in concrete, electrical, and welding, and we are looking for individuals with experience in these trades. Loading Dock Construction Technician (Advanced / Senior Level)
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on construction professional to support our loading dock construction crews. This role is ideal for someone who is highly capable in the field, comfortable taking initiative on-site, and willing to grow into greater responsibility over time.
Our work is specialized and technical. Most new hires learn our systems and processes on the job, regardless of background. We value people who take ownership of their work, help keep jobs moving, and set a strong example for others through skill and work ethic.
What You’ll Do
Hands-On Construction Work

Perform all phases of loading dock construction, including demolition, layout, installation, and finishing

Execute concrete work such as form setting, rebar placement, pours, cutting, and patching

Perform structural welding and metal fabrication for dock frames, steel embeds, railings, and reinforcements

Assist with electrical installation for dock levelers, controls, lighting, and related equipment
Jobsite Awareness & Execution

Read and interpret drawings, plans, and installation details

Anticipate jobsite needs and help coordinate tools, materials, and next steps

Identify issues in the field and work with the crew to solve them efficiently

Help maintain jobsite organization, pacing, and quality standards
Team Contribution

Work closely with crew members to keep production moving and maintain high-quality workmanship

Support less experienced workers by answering questions and demonstrating proper techniques when needed

Communicate clearly with project leads and office staff regarding progress, issues, or changes
Safety & Professionalism

Follow all safety requirements and help maintain a safe, organized jobsite

Lead by example when it comes to PPE, procedures, and jobsite conduct
What We’re Looking For

Solid experience in at least one of the following:

Concrete construction
-
Structural or industrial welding
-
Electrical installation or controls

Comfortable working with your hands every day—this is a working field role, not a supervisory desk position

Ability to think ahead, stay organized, and keep work moving without constant direction

Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment in real-world jobsite conditions

Willingness to learn specialized systems and expand skill sets across multiple trades

Ability to lift, work on your feet, and perform physical work in varying weather conditions

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Dependable, steady, and professional—someone others can rely on in the field
