Garden State Tile is currently seeking an experienced and exceptional Credit and Collections Manager preferably with Avalara and Epicor Prophet 21 to join our TEAM! As the Credit and Collections Manager, you are responsible for the day to day operations for the Credit and Collections Department ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, credit lines, joint checks, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and team members.


This position offers a competitive base hourly wage range of $80,000 to $85,000 per year.


Garden State Tile’s Corporate Office is conveniently located on Wyckoff Road off of Route 34 in Wall Township, New Jersey. The Corporate Office houses the Garden State Tile's meticulous, dedicated corporate team in the areas of finance, human resources, purchasing, and marketing departments that support the company's organizational objectives for it's 16 locations and outside sales team in providing quality ceramic, porcelain, glass and stone product to dealers, architects, designers, and residential customers.


The Corporate Office hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday

Scheduling for this position is 5 days a week in office.

Requirements:

  • Day to Day operations of a Credit and Collections Department.
  • Lead and manage the collections team, providing training and support to ensure high performance.
  • Ensures billings and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner.
  • Addresses and corrects any discrepancies in accounts or billings.
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to assess creditworthiness of clients.
  • Prepare and provide regular reports on collections performance and credit risk exposure for management and facility review.
  • Contacts large clients to obtain payments; when necessary, negotiates new payment terms or settlements.
  • Refers large accounts to outside collection agency for further collection efforts as needed; assists with collections and legal actions pertaining to those accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of policies and procedures used in accounts receivable and billing.
  • Understanding of state and federal laws pertaining to collection activities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Proficiency with Avalara and Epicor Prophet 21 preferred.
