Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and 3D models for tooling specifications.
- Operate and set up a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
- Perform precision measurements using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to tooling performance and failures.
- Select and work with appropriate materials, including various metals and alloys.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration of tooling and equipment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker, including completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM)
- Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and various tooling materials
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex tooling and production issues
Bonus Qualifications
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
- Experience operating CNC machining centers.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex tooling and production issues.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Welding and fabrication experience relevant to tool and die repair.
