Job Summary:
A Cath Lab Tech assists physicians during cardiovascular procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and stent placements. They prepare patients and equipment, monitor patient safety during procedures, and ensure accurate imaging and documentation in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
Responsibilities :
Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization/IR procedures
Operate and maintain cath lab equipment and imaging systems
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms during procedures
Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety
Prepare and administer contrast media as directed
Document procedure details and patient information accurately
Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure proper functionality
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and healthcare staff to provide quality patient care
Experience
Years of experience REQ: 2 Years
BLS, ACLS Required
ARRT Required
CCI RCIS
