Job Description

Job Description

The fountains managed by the National Park Service in the Washington, D.C. area, which include historic features and ornamental fountains—serve both as civic amenities and symbolic elements of the city’s public landscape. Many of these fountains are currently non-operational or deteriorating due to aging infrastructure, deferred maintenance, deteriorated masonry and waterproofing failures. Because POTUS places high value on the appearance and vitality of public spaces, revitalizing these water features is an important part of the broader goal to beautify the city in time for the upcoming 250th anniversary, with celebrations on July 3rd and 4th, 2026 and other high-profile activities in May and June. Restoring these fountains not only brings back functioning water displays, but also helps preserve nationally significant landscapes, bolster civic pride, and ensure that key public gathering places shine for the milestone celebrations.

• Education, experience, and qualifications developing and reviewing cost estimates and schedules including software used.
