JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position plays a critical role in managing financial planning, budgeting, compliance, and strategic analysis to support the economic goals of WinnaVegas Casino Resort.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Directs the operation of the finance department.
2. Oversee the financial planning and budgeting process for all casino resort operations, including gaming, hotel, food & beverage, retail, and entertainment.

3. Ensure full compliance with tribal, federal, and state gaming regulations, including Title 31 (AML), NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), and compact requirements.

4. Partner closely with tribal government leadership to align financial strategy with long-term economic development goals.

5. Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to the GM, Director of Finance and Tribal Council.

6. Lead the development of financial policies and procedures consistent with tribal sovereignty and enterprise goals.

7. Supervise accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.

8. Monitor operational KPIs and gaming performance; recommend strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency.

9. Evaluate capital projects and resort expansions; conduct ROI and feasibility analysis.

10. Oversee audits (internal and external) and manage relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies.

11. Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members, promoting a culture of accountability and service to WCR.

12. Other duties as assigned.

AUTHORITY AND SUPERVISORY CAPACITY

1. Possesses authority needed to accomplish 1 12 above.

SIGNATURE AUTHORITY:

1. All contractual obligations of the Casino up to a prearranged limit.

2. All Departmental Disciplinary Action Notices.

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:

Casino Financial data.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred).

2. Minimum of 3-5 years of finance experience. 3 years in tribal gaming or Native American enterprise operations preferred.

3. Deep knowledge of tribal sovereignty, NIGC, Title 31, and relevant compliance standards.

4. Strong understanding of casino resort financial operations and multi-revenue stream environments.

5. Experience working with tribal leadership, councils, and enterprise boards.

6. Proficiency with hospitality/gaming systems (e.g., Casino Trac, Agilysys, Sage and APS).

7. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

8. Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise.
