Project Manager
Position Overview
The Project Estimator/Manager will play a dual role in both the pre-construction and execution phases of projects. This individual will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, managing bid processes, and overseeing project delivery in close coordination with operations leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze bid requests and develop detailed cost estimates and project execution plans
- Manage client communications, including bid clarifications, scope changes, and change orders
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Track and manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting
- Monitor project progress, proactively addressing delays or issues
- Provide leadership to project teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project estimation and/or management
- High School Diploma or GED required; postsecondary certificate or associate degree in a welding-related field preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Project, Procore, and NetSuite
- Experience in marine construction or industrial environments strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
