Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-8 students with moderate to severe needs in a public school setting. Located in Antioch, CA, this contract position runs through the current school year, providing stable employment with a meaningful impact on student growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential or License in California required
- Experience working with K-8 students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Strong skills in individualized education planning and behavior management
Job Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: End of School Year
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Caseload: Moderate to severe disabilities in a K-8 public school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to moderate and severe disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with district policies
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success
