Accounting and Payroll Specialist- Contract -6 Mo.- Pay up to $38/HR (DOE)

KeyStaff Professionals is partnering with a client to hire a skilled Accounting & Payroll Specialist for a 6-month contract role. This full-time, onsite position will play a key part in supporting both accounting and HR functions for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, and 1099 processing
Oversee month-end close activities, reconciliations, and journal entries
File and maintain sales/use tax records
Process bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity and handle 401(k) submissions with Principal
Provide general HR and administrative support as needed across multiple companies

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
5+ years of accounting and payroll experience
Multi-company experience preferred
Strong proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks knowledge a plus
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
