Job Description
Pride Health is hiring a Cytology Technician II to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Boston, MA 02111.
This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM M-F No weekend work (40 hrs/week)
Pay Range: $22/hr- $ 27/hr (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Thin Prep processing of cytology and UroVysion specimens.
- Process cytology specimens using Microcyte.
- Stain and coverslip cytology slides (Pap staining).
- Print and collate cytology worksheets with slides.
- Document daily QC for reagents, instruments, and equipment.
- Perform routine instrument/equipment maintenance.
- Monitor and report reagent/supply needs to the supervisor.
- Help organize daily workflow and assist with training new staff.
- Follow all job-related instructions and duties as assigned.
Additional Duties May Include:
- Assist in Accessioning: grossing cytology specimens.
Environment & Safety:
- Follow lab safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Complete all required EHS training.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Comply with federal, state, local, and accreditation regulations.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience
