Sounds of Success Preschool & Learning Center in Aiea is looking for part-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) or CFYs for our After School Speech Therapy Learning Center for children ages 2 to 18 yrs old.
Work hours are flexible and can vary from 8 am to 7 pm, Mon-Sun. SLPs are provided the freedom to create their own schedules depending on how many clients they want to service and how many days per week they want to work. Therapy sessions are usually once or twice a week per client. Perfect for SLPs who have a full-time day job but looking for extra income in the afternoons/evenings or on the weekends.
Interested applicants must have a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and be certified and licensed in the state of Hawaii. Pay for certified and licensed SLP is $55/hr..
Applicants for the CFY position must have a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Sounds of Success Preschool will provide the necessary supervision for certification for CFY applicants. Pay for CFY is $35/hr.

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Therapy required
- Hawaii Professional license or Provisional license required.
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal history background check
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains and documents productivity standards set by the Director and supervising SLP.
- Performs speech-language evaluations and drafts findings reports.
- Develops a therapy plan outlining area of deficit, target activity, context, assistance needed, functional, realistic and measurable goal(s), and/or status ongoing goal(s).
- Recommends and provides treatment based upon medical, clinical, functional, and observational findings.
- Continually documents active & supportive education with the student, parents, and others concerned, regarding progress, problems, home programs, & other issues related to the therapeutic process.
- Maintains ongoing continuing education to maintain professional licensure and clinical excellence.
- Prepares the family for discharge at the time of the evaluation based on maximum potential and/or when benefit of therapy are reached.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience working with young children is preferred.
- Ability to appropriately interact with children, parents/guardians and other school staff in all work related situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with students, families and co-workers.
- Ability to problem solve to formulate a plan of care and evaluate the student’s response to care
- Ability to interpret, adapt and react calmly under stressful conditions
