Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced VRF Piping Mechanic to join our growing team. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of VRF systems and associated piping in both commercial and residential applications. The ideal candidate has strong HVAC piping experience and hands-on familiarity with VRF systems - ensuring precise installation, safety compliance, and reliable system performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of HVAC piping installation experience

  • 1+ year working directly with VRF systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Install VRF piping systems according to manufacturer guidelines and project specifications

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

  • Fabricate, assemble, and install copper piping accurately

  • Braze, solder, and pressure-test refrigerant piping to industry standards

  • Perform leak testing to meet safety and regulatory requirements

  • Work alongside HVAC technicians to connect piping to VRF indoor/outdoor units

  • Install brackets, hangers, insulation, and protective components

  • Coordinate work with electricians, contractors, and other trades

  • Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA-compliant jobsite

  • Troubleshoot and repair existing VRF piping systems

  • Document work performed, materials used, and daily progress

  • Assist with system commissioning and startup

  • Stay current with VRF technology and best practices

  • Participate in ongoing training and development
