This is a contract role focused on special education within a dedicated school setting for the 2025-2026 academic year. Key Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Paraprofessional, preferably in school environments
- Interest or background in special education (SPED) strongly desired
- Ability to effectively support middle school-aged students
- Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills
- Team-oriented and dependable with a passion for helping children
- Ability to follow teacher and program guidelines consistently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with special needs throughout the school day
- Assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Help maintain an organized and positive classroom environment
- Encourage student independence and participation during lessons and activities
- Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and keeping detailed records as needed
- Foster a supportive atmosphere to help all students feel included and motivated
