Customer Service Supervisor – Barrington, IL

As our Customer Service Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, coach team members, and solve complex customer challenges. This is a hands-on leadership role for a candidate looking to combine their love of teaching with their passion for customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily workflow of the Customer Service team and ensure all calls, emails, and chats are handled with accuracy and care.
- Coach team members on product knowledge covering product line and wellness gear so they can confidently guide customers through selection and use.
- Manage escalated inquiries related to product quality, sizing, materials, and shipment issues and provide solutions that increase customer satisfaction.
- Train new hires on communication standards, system processes, and the company’s philosophy around movement, wellness, and customer care.
- Review and refine customer service training, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to ensure they reflect current product lines and best practices.
- Foster a positive and motivated team environment that encourages continuous improvement, accountability, and a great customer experience.
Qualifications:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a customer service role, with similar industry such as e-commerce, consumer goods, or wellness preferred but not required.
- Associate’s or bachelor's degree required.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to explain product features, material details, and usage techniques.
- Strong ability to handle escalated issues and guide customers through solutions.
- Commitment to excellent customer service and delivering a positive customer experience every time.
