Job Title: CT/X-Ray Technologist
Location: Amarillo, TX
Schedule: 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,578.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $1,332.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,246.00 Per Week

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our team as a traveler. This role is primarily based at the Georgia Street Free-Standing Emergency Department (FED), with rotations to additional FEDs as needed. Initial onboarding will take place at the main hospital.

The technologist will perform CT scans, X-rays, and Point-of-Care (POC) lab testing. POC lab training will be provided. Candidates must be comfortable working independently and managing a fast-paced emergency environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Computed Tomography (CT) and radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Analyze patient body habitus and adjust technical factors accordingly.
  • Accurately position patients and follow proper imaging protocols.
  • Review physician orders and relevant clinical data to ensure appropriate imaging.
  • Perform and assist in diagnostic and emergency procedures.
  • Support physicians during procedures, including preparing rooms and managing supplies.
  • Respond to and manage contrast reactions and medical codes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate exam records and enter correct charge codes.
  • Rotate between FED locations as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
    • X-ray competency required
  • Certifications & Licenses:
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification – Required
    • Texas Medical Board (TMB) Radiologic Technologist License – Required

Must live at least 100 miles from facility to qualify as a traveler
