Position: Quality Specialist

Location: Valley Green, PA

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM's globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. Our team in Valley Green, PA is looking for a Quality Specialist.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Specialist supports the implementation and maintenance of quality systems to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal procedures. This entry-level role focuses on inspection, documentation, and assisting in root cause analysis for electronic components and assemblies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspectionsof electronic components, cable assemblies, and PCBs using magnification tools and measurement equipment.
  • Verify compliance with work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Document inspection results in ERP or quality management systems.
  • Assist in nonconformance reporting (NCR)and containment activities.
  • Support root cause analysisand corrective actions for defects (e.g., soldering, gasket placement, wire routing).
  • Conduct basic electrical tests(continuity, hipot, LLCR) under supervision.
  • Maintain calibration recordsfor measurement tools.
  • Participate in layered process auditsand report findings.
  • Ensure adherence to ESD, cleanliness, and safety standardsin the work area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or associate degree in electronics or related field.
  • Basic understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620or similar standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools(micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or cable assembly.
  • Knowledge of quality tools(PFMEA, control plans, fishbone diagrams).
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 or IATF 16949quality systems.
