Job Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support to ensure that customer inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively
- Address customer inquiries and resolve customer issues in a timely manner to include but not limited to the following:
- Billings, notices and payments
- Transfer of Property
- Water Quality
- Elevate customer issues to appropriate person or department as needed
- On an ongoing basis:
- Update name, address, and phone number changes
- Set-up payment plans or payment arrangements with customers
- Record all customer inquiries, comments, and complaints on the customer’s account in Notes
- Set up Pending records and final read appointments for Property Transfers
- Set-up appointments for new meter sets, high bill complaints, meter in/water on, meter out/water off, etc
- Process requests for Water Quality reports
- Log complaints for dirty water or no water and forward to appropriate departments
- Setup new accounts in Munis
- Retrieve and follow up on voicemails and emails
- Direct payment signups
- Process WaterTight enrollments
- Send PT program mailings and noncompliance notifications
Qualifications: High School Diploma
- Customer Service Specialist I
- This is an entry level position requiring some level of experience in customer service within an office or bank environment.
- Customer Service Specialist II
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience of progressive in customer service in a utility or related industry.
