Key Responsibilities
-
Perform on-site evaluations of commercial boiler systems to assess installation and repair needs
-
Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
-
Analyze project scope, specifications, and site conditions to develop competitive bids
-
Identify code requirements, safety considerations, and potential project risks impacting cost and timeline
-
Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and clients to ensure accurate project planning
Qualifications
-
3–5+ years of estimating experience in boiler systems, HVAC, or mechanical contracting
-
Hands-on experience with boiler installation, repair, and maintenance
-
Strong knowledge of fuel systems (oil, gas, dual-fuel) and combustion equipment
-
Experience working with steel and cast-iron boilers, piping systems, cutting, and welding
-
Familiarity with ASME and NBIC codes
-
OSHA certification and confined space training preferred
