Job Description
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a CT Technologist for a top Healthcare client.
This skilled technical role performs all Computerized Tomography (CT) scans and necessary general Radiology procedures under the direction of a Radiologist to assist in the detection of abnormalities. The Technologist provides care to a patient population ranging from critically ill to sub-acutely ill, spanning pediatric through geriatric developmental ages, while actively fulfilling the organization's mission of providing quality care.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive CT scans on various portions of the body and execute assigned duties as a Radiology Technologist.
- Ensure all procedures are conducted with a full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the organization's mission and patient care standards.
- Provide care and service to a diverse patient population, spanning critically ill through sub-acutely ill individuals, from pediatric through geriatric age groups.
- Collaborate effectively with the Radiologist and medical staff to ensure high-quality imaging for accurate detection of abnormalities.
- Utilize equipment and technical knowledge to acquire diagnostic images while maintaining adherence to all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all procedures performed and patient care provided.
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout the entire imaging process.
Requirements
Education
- Associate Degree or Graduation from an approved Vocational School of Radiology is required.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of CT experience is REQUIRED.
- Client Location Notes:
- For Osceola Regional Medical Center roles, acute care experience is NOT required.
- For Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) roles, acute care experience IS required, along with the 1 year of CT experience.
Certifications/Licenses
- State of Florida HRS General Radiography license is required.
- ARRT certification (R - Radiographer and CT - Computed Tomography) is required at submission.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-C) certification is required.
Skills
- Proven ability to perform CT scans on various body regions and assist in general Radiology procedures.
- Demonstrated understanding of the functional and developmental needs of pediatric through geriatric patients.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred.
