Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support students’ communication and language development in a rewarding, school-based setting near Detroit, MI. We’re seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide vital services for the remainder of the current school year. As a contracted, onsite professional, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to create positive learning experiences and help young learners thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state license (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience within a school environment strongly preferred
- Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and developing IEPs for students with speech, language, or communication needs
- Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills
- Compassion and a student-centered approach
Principal Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy sessions based on student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families regarding student progress and support
- Maintain documentation, progress notes, and reports according to school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and help design education plans suited to each child’s unique needs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster an inclusive and supportive school environment
