Pharmacy Technician – IV Clean Room Compounding
Location: Greenwood Village, CO
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $24.45 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IV Clean Room Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join a high-quality pharmacy operation in Greenwood Village, CO. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering stable hours, competitive pay, and the potential for long-term placement.
The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, supporting sterile IV preparation, prescription fulfillment, inventory management, and compliance with all pharmacy standards and government regulations.
Note: Candidates must hold an active New York State (NYS) Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound IV medications in a clean room environment in accordance with USP and regulatory standards
- Fill prescriptions and assist with prepackaging medications for dispensing
- Support the Pharmacist with final prescription checks, including medication verification and post-review packaging
- Accurately enter prescription and billing data into pharmacy computer systems to support reimbursement
- Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
- Maintain proper inventory practices, including:
- Receiving and rotating medications and supplies
- Posting lot numbers and expiration dates
- Assisting with physical inventory counts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, including:
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- Checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness
- Collaborate with Pharmacy Management, Billing Supervisor, and Technician Supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations
Required Qualifications
- Active NYS Registered Pharmacy Technician license (required)
- Prior experience with IV compounding and clean room operations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
- Ability to follow strict procedures and regulatory guidelines
- Comfortable working under direct pharmacist supervision
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
