Summary of Our Role:
National Therapy Center seeks a mission-driven Pediatric Physical Therapist to provide early intervention services under our DCEI (District of Columbia Early Intervention) contract.
- This position offers competitive compensation, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to support children ages 0-3 in natural environments throughout Washington, DC.
- As a DCEI Physical Therapist, you will deliver in-home or community-based therapy services to enhance gross motor development for infants and toddlers with developmental delays.
- You'll work closely with families and other early intervention professionals to ensure holistic, culturally sensitive, and individualized care.
Position Highlight Details:
- Compensation:
- $85-$90/hour for billable services
- $25/hour for administrative tasks
- Weekly Expectation:
- 25 billable hours
- Schedule Availability Requirement:
- Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Location:
- Family homes, daycares, and community settings throughout Washington, DC
- Caseload:
- Structured ramp-up to a full caseload within 2-4 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)
- Provide hands-on therapy focused on gross motor development
- Monitor and document client progress in accordance with DCEI standards
- Partner with families and caregivers to support development at home
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (SLPs, OTs, BCBAs, etc.)
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Active DC Physical Therapy license (MD license a plus or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Current CPR certification
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
- Ability to work independently in the field and lift at least 10 pounds
