Carpenter
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various construction tasks, ensuring that the work site is clean, organized, and safe. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of construction professionals.
Key responsibilities:
· Site preparation: Setting up safety fences, Removing any debris and light demolition
· Material handling: Move building materials, tools and supplies around jobsite as needed
· Support construction activities: Assist in tasks such as Removing cabinetry, removing flooring, light framing and sheetrock among other tasks related to building and remodeling of residential units such as minor framing, cabinet install, window and door install, deck replacement
· Safety compliance: Follow safety guidelines and ensure a safe work environment by maintaining clean and orderly job sites
· Work along side carpenters and laborers and other skilled trades to complete various tasks as needed
· Equipment operation: Operate basic hand power tools as needed
· Waste management: Ensure proper disposal of construction waste and materials in accordance with regulations
Qualifications:
· Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
- Must be able to be on your feet for an extended period of time
· Experience: Prior experience in carpentry of 5 years preferred
· Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Work ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to follow instructions carefully
· Familiarity with construction tools and materials
· Basic knowledge of construction processes and terminology
· Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
