Manufacturer of power and process equipment located in Lower Bucks County is currently seeking a self-motivated individual to work in our manufacturing department.
Looking for an experienced Trak Lathe machinist to join our team. Experience working with castings, bar stock, single pieces and small lot runs is a plus. Secondary operations to be completed on a Trak Mill.
The successful applicant must present with the following skills:
- Set up and operate different machine tools to shape complex, small-run parts made from stainless steel, carbon steel, Monel, Inconel, and titanium, among others. Machine high quality components to close tolerances.
- Interpret blueprints, manuals, and other work instructions
- Perform first-article inspection to determine correctness of setup and finished pieces.
- Clean & perform basic preventive maintenance functions on machines, tooling & parts.
- Proficiency in use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial calipers, depth gages, indicators, and scales.
- Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control employees and other personnel for assignments, and to resolve machining or quality issues.
- Use material handling equipment to lift and position heavy materials.
- Understand and abide by industry and machine-specific safety standards.
- Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
Requirements to be considered:
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to follow verbal and written instructions well.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and be adaptable to a changing work environment. Open to working in a typical machine shop environment.
- Must have basic math skills that include geometry and algebra
- Must have problem solving ability and work independently
- High school diploma or GED.
- CNC experience a plus, Prototrak
